The Ohio State University would like to invite individuals at your university, who are involved in recruiting faculty, postdocs, lecturers, and similar positions within the academy to participate in our upcoming Big10 Academia Career Fair (Big10 ACF) that will occur virtually via Handshake on Thursday, October 16, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET. Details about the fair and how to register have been included below. Additionally, we extend an invite to your graduate students and postdocs to participate in this virtual event and I have included a flyer with pertinent details that you can share with them. Students and postdocs participate for free.

About the BIG10 Academia Career Fair
The BIG10 ACF is a virtual career fair that connects colleges, universities, national labs, and research institutes with the diverse, high-caliber graduate (MS/PhD) and postdoctoral trainees across the BIG10 that are entering the job market. This career fair occurs over Handshake, a virtual platform that will allow you to meet with potential talent individually and in group settings. In addition to opportunities to meet with potential talent, your organization will also receive access to a C.V. book that includes the resumes and CVs of all graduate and postdoctoral trainees who have registered to participate.

During 2023’s inaugural BIG10 ACF, nearly 800 graduate and postdoctoral trainees participated. In addition, each of the 28 recruiting organizations received a CV book that had over 300 CVs from the student and postdoc participants.

Who should participate: associate deans of faculty affairs and recruitment, department chairs, leaders of faculty search committees, and staff involved in faculty and staff recruitment

Registration Fees
Academia, Non-profit Organizations, and Government Agencies - $300

Included in your organization’s registration for the virtual career fair:

• Group Info Sessions (30-minute) and/or One-on-One Individual Sessions (~10-minute)
• Up to 100 recruiters can participate from your organization to hold group or individual sessions with potential talent. This will allow a multitude of faculty, postdoc, and staff recruiters across a diverse set of disciplines to participate from your organization
• Graduate and postdoc trainee CV book (soft copy spreadsheet shared with all registered organizations 1 week prior to the event)
• Access to all the BIG10 MS/PhD/Postdoc level talent on Handshake participating in the virtual career fair
