Open enrollment for 2025 benefits is now open. This is your annual opportunity to tailor the benefits package offered by the University of Iowa.

Details:

• You can find a summary of 2025 updates and changes below and on the Benefits Office website annual benefits open enrollment webpage.
• If you choose not to make any changes during this open enrollment period:
  • You will remain enrolled in your current plan and keep the same coverage options, except for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), which requires reenrollment. 
  • Your 2024 FSA election(s) won’t carry over to 2025 unless you have unused credits that will default into a health care spending account.
  • You won’t be able to modify your benefits until open enrollment in fall 2025, unless you experience a qualifying event.
• University Benefits is committed to helping you understand your benefits. Their office provides an array of resources, including an interactive PDF enrollment guide available in English, Spanish, and French, and a step-by-step video on how to enroll.
• If you have questions or concerns, you can submit them directly to the Benefits Office through their “You Ask.. We Answer” contact box.
   

Action Required:
Changes and new rates take effect on January 1, 2025. You must complete your open enrollment by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15.
