The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost is issuing a call for requests related to strategic priorities. UI faculty can request up to $5,000 in one-time funding to help with project support, partial summer salary, bridge funding, etc. The funding is designed to help faculty bring research/scholarly projects to closure within the time frame of the award. All UI tenure, clinical, research, and instructional track faculty with 50% or greater appointment are eligible to apply. Faculty may only receive one award every other year.

Requests will be submitted through a workflow form and will be routed to the DEO and associate dean for faculty for approval. ADF approvals are due by 5:00 p.m. on April 21, 2025. Funding is limited. Projects will be reviewed for merit in the order in which they are submitted. Funds will be released for use in the fall semester and must be expended during July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026. Please note: Extensions or repurposing of fund requests will not be considered once awarded. Funding for office/lab renovations, basic office/research/lab supplies (e.g. computers, printers, office equipment) will not be supported.
