With so many deadlines this fall, the Dean’s Office recognizes how busy departments are, and we want to give departments more time to prepare for the 2026-27 academic year. Faculty deployment charts will now be due Friday, Dec. 5 (moved out from Nov. 14) to align with the deadline for 2026-27 visitor/adjunct requests.
The process is the same as was previously announced: By Friday, Dec. 5, all departments must submit a faculty deployment chart for the 2026-27 year. Decisions on faculty hiring plans will not be considered until a faculty deployment chart has been submitted. CLAS has provided a faculty deployment template.
It is acceptable to provide slight deviation from this template if your department creates their own version of this chart or regularly uses a MAUI report (example: the Course Sections report) in your course planning, as long as it includes:
- a list of full course offerings by semester with instructor assignments and
- a summary documenting overall faculty loads and showing full deployment of all instructors (faculty and TAs).
Please be sure to include a note of all course releases/course buyouts by faculty. If you do utilize the MAUI report, please ensure it is formatted into a similar format as the sample template.
Faculty deployment charts should be submitted using the CLAS File Cabinet.
Refer to the previously published Business Update for details on visitor/adjunct/overload requests, also due Dec. 5.
Thank you.
