The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) are committed to advancing research and scholarship in the humanities. We are pleased to announce the continuation of the Summer Funding for Humanities Research initiative. This funding initiative is designed to help faculty pursue summer research projects that require dedicated time, resources, and support. Faculty may request up to $7,500 in funding to support expenses such as materials, equipment, travel, and dedicated writing space.

Applications for funding of research to be completed during summer 2026 are being accepted from Nov. 10 – 30, 2025. Check out the Summer Funding for Humanities Research webpage to learn more about this opportunity and download the application. Applications will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2025. Awards will be announced mid-December.
