The Center for Teaching will hold a Spring 2026 New Teaching Assistant Orientation (NTAO) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (CST) on Fri, Jan. 16, in person in Van Allen 350. NTAO introduces participants to the role of teaching assistant at the University of Iowa. It is useful for any graduate student interested in developing practical teaching skills and is especially beneficial to anyone who will be a TA at the UI for the first time. Graduate students from across campus are welcome. Participants should register here by 5:00 p.m. on Wed, Jan 14. In case of inclement weather, we will move the event to the Zoom.

Center for Teaching staff members are also available to support any departmental teaching orientation or professional development events you may be holding.
