Fall 2026 courses will be viewable on MyUI beginning on Feb. 9. As a reminder, the CLAS Resource site contains guidance about what information to include in MyUI course descriptions, General Catalog course descriptions, and syllabi.
Instructors are strongly encouraged to upload a sample syllabus in MyUI for each course. Starting in fall 2026, CLAS requires instructors to share the following key course information in MyUI before early registration:
- description of the course,
- learning objectives for the course,
- outline of course topics,
- a description of the types and quantities of readings that will be assigned,
- and overview of the types of assessments and major assignments of the course,
- which students should enroll in this particular course and why, and
- any special activities, such as field trips, that must fit within a student’s schedule.
This information may be included through:
- the attachment of a course syllabus (please note “draft syllabus, subject to changes” on the posted version), OR
- the attachment of a short document that includes the key course information above, OR
- a thorough and up-to-date MyUI course description that includes the key course information above.
