The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) invites faculty researchers, scholars, and creators to apply for resources and support to forge new frontiers of discovery through the Arts and Humanities Initiative (AHI).

This program encourages leading-edge scholarship, creative activity, and interdisciplinary research.

Application deadline is Tuesday, October 13, at 11:59 PM.

Please note the revised eligibility criteria:

The following University of Iowa faculty whose scholarship centers around the humanities and/or the arts are eligible to apply: 

• Tenure-track or tenured faculty
• Research track faculty
• Non tenure-track faculty (includes instruction-, practice-, and clinical-track), with documentation of research expectations in job duties*

*Faculty not on the tenure or research track must submit an official university document demonstrating that research is a substantial component of their appointment and job duties. Faculty members without research documented as a significant component of their expected effort are ineligible for AHI funding.
