Biography

Amy Korthank is Senior Associate Director of Academic Support at the University of Iowa, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. In her role, she works closely with students navigating complex issues that impact their academics, offering guidance that is both compassionate and solutions focused. Amy also plays a key role in resolving student and faculty concerns, including mediating complaints and academic honesty cases, and supports the CLAS Concern Form process, which helps identify, assess, and respond to student challenges in a coordinated and care centered way. She represents CLAS undergraduate programs across campus, ensuring student needs are centered in decision making. Amy is passionate about fostering resilience and creating supportive environments where students can thrive and was recognized as a 2024 Mental Health Champion Award recipient. She brings a holistic, care centered approach to her work, emphasizing the strong connection between mental health and student success.
