Bethany joined the GSO in January 2023 after moving to Iowa City from Maryland, where she spent the first half of her career as an animal trainer, working with exotic animals, namely elephants, at the Maryland Zoo, as well as with dogs at a separate dog training facility. Bethany supports both the pre- and post-award teams and helps manage external communications. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her dog.
