International Programs invites nominations for the 2024 Global Student Awards. These awards recognize one undergraduate and one graduate student who are deeply engaged in international education on campus or abroad.

Nominees should be currently-enrolled University of Iowa undergraduate or graduate students who champion international education on campus or abroad. They may be international or U.S. students. Important qualifying attributes may include:

· Demonstrated commitment to celebrating and promoting different cultures, identities, and international perspectives.

· Leadership in fostering collaboration and coalition‐building between people and groups with different backgrounds.

· Openness about their personal experiences and perspectives in support of global understanding and inclusion within their community and field of study.

· Ability to use their own international education experiences to empower their peers to enrich their global perspectives and pursue international learning opportunities.

The nomination form will ask that you identify the student (name and email) and describe your association with the nominee along with a brief description of why you consider this person worthy of the award. Nominated students will be contacted directly by International Programs to obtain further information, including other experiences/organizations/programs they have engaged in as a student at Iowa, that have further demonstrated their commitment to international education.
