Please review the revised CLAS research release policy which will replace the prior one on the CLAS policies website. 

There are three changes:

• First, research release funds returned to the department for the faculty member’s use will be capped at 40% of the academic year salary, in line with our standard PTEAP. 
• Second, the full amount of the salary will be returned, but the college will retain the full fringe amount.
• Third, research release funds will now have an automatic one-year allowed carryover; that is, funds must be used in the fiscal year in which they were generated or in the following fiscal year. 

The new carryover piece of the policy will go into effect immediately, all other policy changes will be effective 7/1/2025. Please refer to the full policy for all details.
