It’s the time of the year for the Iowa Art in Science contest! 

The goal of The Iowa Art in Science Contest is to recognize the combination of outstanding scientific discovery and artistic appeal in research imaging. Images from any mode of microscopy can be used, and any amount of colorization, manipulation and compositing is completely acceptable. Be creative, have fun! 

The winners of Best Image will receive prizes donated by Thomas Scientific, Zeiss, Hitachi and other supporters. 12 of the submitted images will be featured in the 2027 CMRF Calendar.

Submit one image and a description to Thomas-moninger@uiowa.edu or any CMRF staff member by 5pm November 6th.
