Tom Koeppel is entering a two-year phased retirement and is currently working on special projects assigned by the Dean. Previously, Tom served as the senior director for business and financial administration. Tom was also the administrator for the departments of Biology as well as Physics and Astronomy and holds a Master of Organizational Leadership degree from St. Ambrose University.

Responsibilities

• Engage in initiatives as requested by the CLAS dean and/or CLAS interim business officer.
• Oversee the auditing and compliance of College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) shops and recharge centers, ensuring they operate effectively and align with university policy.
• Work closely with departmental administrators to streamline operations and enhance administrative efficiency.
• Review Departmental Business Continuity plans and work with departmental administrators to ensure annual reviews.
• Assist in the setting up of operational, financial and workflow processes for new departments or newly merged departments.
• Special projects as assigned.
