The Innovations in Teaching with Technology Awards (ITTA) provide funding for innovative, results-oriented instructional technology projects that raise the level of teaching and learning at Iowa and have the potential to impact student success and retention. This funding comes from the ITS Office of Teaching Learning and Technology.

The University of Iowa Academic Technologies Advisory Council (ATAC) will accept proposals for ITTA from Thursday, September 12, through Tuesday, October 15.

We seek projects that employ collaborative learning strategies and student use of emerging technologies for teaching and learning. Priority will be given to projects that, if proven successful, can be replicated throughout the university. Cross-disciplinary projects are encouraged, but not required.

A total of $100,000 is available for awards. The number of awards will be determined by the quality of the applications. A single award or multiple awards may be made. Applications can be made to support the costs of hardware, software, and personnel. Funding is not available to support faculty salaries.

If you are interested in applying, please review the proposal guidelines. We encourage you to email the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology at its-otlt@uiowa.edu with questions.

If you've been experimenting with innovative teaching approaches that involve technology, we encourage you to submit your proposal by Tuesday, October 15.
