Hi everyone, 

Last year, I co-led a committee commissioned by the OVPR to review the Public Policy Center (PPC) and its research services arm, the Iowa Social Science Research Center. Several of the committee's recommendations were put into effect, and last week the Board of Regents approved Center for Social Science Innovation (CSSI) as a replacement for the PPC. 

Led by our own Professor Mark Berg (Sociology and Criminology), the CSSI aims to have a major impact on social science research on campus, incubating research groups, providing survey and multimethodology research services, pre-award grant support by Kris Ackerson (in collaboration with the CLAS Grant Support Office), and a variety of researcher-in-residence programs.
