College of Liberal Arts and Sciences faculty are invited to attend the Humanities Awardee Showcase and Reception on November 21, 2024 from 3 - 5 p.m. in 2520D UCC.
This event, co-hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), and Office of the Provost, is open to all faculty who would like to learn more about external awards and recognition while connecting with humanities colleagues from around the university.
The session will feature welcoming remarks from Luis Martín-Estudillo, Director of the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies, followed by a panel discussion with recent prestigious award winners including 2024 American Academy of Arts and Letters Award recipient Lan Samantha Chang, 2023 National Endowment of the Arts Fellow Donika Kelly, and 2024 Andrew Carnegie Fellow Julianna Pacheco. The panel will be co-moderated by Roland Racevskis, associate dean for the Arts and Humanities in CLAS, and Josh Weiner, associate dean for Research in CLAS.
