Websites require a lot of maintenance to keep up, but you don't have to do it alone. Siteimprove is a tool that can assist with accessibility scanning, quality control, and SEO for your website. It is available via the Office of Strategic Communications at no cost to campus. Over 1,000 university websites, many of them within CLAS, already use it.
With Siteimprove, you can identify inaccessible content on your website, research the specific issues at play, and formulate your plan for addressing and improving your website's accessibility in preparation for the upcoming Department of Justice deadline for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance by in April 2026.
Siteimprove training and materials are available on the IT accessibility website and the web community site. Reach out to clas-marcom@uiowa.edu if you have additional questions or want to learn more about Siteimprove.
