OpenHawks is an Open Educational Resources (OER) grant program that provides faculty and teaching assistants with funding for replacing commercial textbooks, improving upon a course that already uses OER, creating an open textbook, or developing an openly licensed multimedia project. Grants range from $500 to $10,000, depending on the scope of the project.

• The application deadline is Friday, April 25, 2025.
• In the last several years, OpenHawks has funded more than 70 OER projects across a broad range of disciplines and saved students more $1.8 million. Read about the OpenHawks projects that received funding in 2024–2025.
• There is an informational webinar scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, from noon to p.m. If you cannot make this time the webinar will be recorded and posted on the OpenHawks website.
