OpenHawks is an Open Educational Resources (OER) grant program that provides faculty and teaching assistants with funding for replacing commercial textbooks, improving upon a course that already uses OER, creating an open textbook, or developing an openly licensed multimedia project. Grants range from $500 to $10,000, depending on the scope of the project.

- The application deadline is Friday, April 25, 2025.
- In the last several years, OpenHawks has funded more than 70 OER projects across a broad range of disciplines and saved students more $1.8 million. Read about the OpenHawks projects that received funding in 2024–2025.
