All faculty instructors should have received an email from the Provost’s Office Center for Teaching advertising a session on writing effective teaching assessments. We encourage faculty to consider attending, especially those who are preparing for promotion, review, and other career opportunities.

Faculty Workshop: Writing Effective Teaching Narratives
Wednesday, April 2, 2025 | 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Zoom | Meeting ID 99873852139

Developing a teaching dossier is an opportunity for faculty to highlight their commitment to academic excellence and tell their unique teaching story. It’s also a vital tool for securing tenure, promotion, and new career opportunities. All faculty are invited to join us for an interactive workshop led by Eva Latterner, assistant director of the Center for Teaching, and Katherine Beydler, associate director of the Center for Teaching, designed with the following goals in mind:

  • Best practices in self-assessment of teaching statements and dossier materials

  • Tips for gathering illustrative evidence of teaching excellence

  • Resources to help identify gaps and growth opportunities
