The Dean’s Office has announced several changes to faculty reviews, as announced to DEOs and administrators in this month’s Faculty Review Workshop:

  • Faculty review forms have been updated to include a table with 3 options of Does not meet standards, Meets standards, or Exceeds standards. This replaces the prior table that only provided 2 options of Does not meet standards or Meets or exceeds standards.
  • The instructional track faculty (ITF) annual and reappointment review forms have been updated to align with the 2024 ITF policy update. This includes the implementation of a new probationary annual ITF review form. This probationary annual review form is to be used for all annual reviews during the ITF’s initial contract period (typically 1-3 years) before the first reappointment review and includes a separate recommendations section to align with the ITF policy.
  • Deadlines for 2025-26 faculty reviews are published on the Faculty Review Schedule. Effective 2026-27, the deadline for instructional track and clinical track faculty reappointment reviews will shift to late in the fall semester. This change allows the college to be more responsive to communicating reappointment decisions.
  • Review forms for visiting and adjunct faculty have been updated to match the formatting of other reviews. Review the visiting faculty review policy and the adjunct faculty review policy for details regarding when and how to complete these reviews.

DEOs, Administrators, and faculty review committees: Please ensure you use the latest version of faculty review forms from the forms and documents section of the Faculty Reviews site.

 Thank you.
