As part of CLAS’s ongoing commitment to accessible and flexible professional development, the Preparing for Promotion faculty workshops have been converted into self-paced online courses and are now available. Links to the courses are available on the CLAS Faculty Workshops website, where they will be linked going forward.

These online courses replace the former in-person workshops and are designed for instructional-track and tenure-track faculty. They cover promotion processes, expectations, and timelines across tracks and ranks, and can be completed at your own pace with the option to revisit materials as needed. Clinical-track faculty may also find the tenure-track course useful for best practices and general guidance. Clinical-track faculty should refer to the CLAS/UI clinical-track promotion policies and procedures for formal requirements.
