Policy purpose and description

Facilities Management oversees all aspects of the campus infrastructure, including building operations and maintenance, landscaping, and utilities.

Procedure

Facilities Management is responsible for custodial services, routine maintenance and repairs to buildings. Building issues should be reported to FM@YourService, using the green “Service” link or calling 335-5071. Examples of problems that should be reported through the “Service” link include: heating/cooling problems, burned-out lights, pest issues, door issues, spills, leaks, or odors. For building or maintenance emergencies, please call FM@YourService at 335-5071; this line is answered 24 hours a day.   

Facilities work projects—including installing items such as whiteboards or equipment, carpeting, painting, requesting keys or lock changes, utility requests, or non-routine custodial needs—can be initiated at the FM@YourSevice website using the yellow “Order Work or Keys” link. These services are billed by Facilities Management and an MFK must be provided. All work to university buildings must be coordinated through Facilities Management (with the exception of small carpeting or painting projects that can be contracted through university-approved contractors).
