Mariola Espinosa, associate professor in the Department of History, was one of 78 recipients of the National Endowment for the Humanities grant, the nation’s most prestigious humanities scholarship.

Mark Blumberg, DEO and professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, received the 2025 Distinguished Scientist Award from the Sleep Research Society. Much of his recent research aims to answer why animals, including humans, sleep the most when they are young.
