Rosemary Moore, associate professor of instruction in the departments of History and Classics, brings her leadership and military experience from the U.S. Navy into her classroom and her research on the Roman military.

First CLAS student care manager wants to create a ‘culture of wellness’

Emily Hurst brings two decades of experience and her passion for mental health to the CLAS student care manager role. The new position is the first of its kind on campus and was made possible by a generous donor gift.

Hval receives Iowa Artist Fellowship

Ali Hval, assistant professor of instruction in the School of Art, Art History, and Design, will use the $10,000 grant from the Iowa Arts Council to expand her studio work. She was selected out of 46 candidates.

Kadera and Mitchell empowering women in political science

Kelly Kadera and Sara Mitchell, faculty members in the Department of Political Science, host workshops that support, mentor, and teach women in political science. A recent NSF grant will allow them to continue this work for another four years.
