Services

The Prototyping Services Team designs and builds instructional and research equipment. Services offered include Engineering Consultation, Design Consultation, Laser Cutting & Machining, and CNC Milling.

Prototyping Services works to coordinate projects across campus. We have previously collaborated with:

  • Researchers in Carver Collge of Medicine
  • CLAS Staff Appreciation
  • John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center
  • Iowa Neuroscience Institute

Training is available to staff and students. With three convenient locations, staff and students gain experience in designing and developing their projects. Past students have come from all across campus:

  • $75/hour for University of Iowa clients
  • $125/hr for external clients
  • Flat rates can be negotiated on a per project basis.
